The collection of the Frederic Remington Art Museum contains items pertaining to Theodore Roosevelt. From Roosevelt's time in Cuba, Frederic Remington created The Charge of the Rough Riders, depicting the man leading the Rough Riders up Kettle Hill during the Spanish American War. One of his beloved Rough Riders is captured in Remington's bronze sculpture, The Sergeant. In 1888, Remington created several black and white oil paintings for "Sheriff's Work on a Ranch," an article written by Roosevelt. Also included in the collection are more than 20 letters and invitations from Roosevelt to Frederic Remington.

The museum hours are July 19 – Oct. 31: Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, 1-5 p.m. November – April: Wednesday to Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, 1-5 p.m.
